Ice Cream Coffee
A simple coffee dessert made with vanilla ice cream, hot espresso or strong coffee, and a light chocolate finish.
Total time: 10 minutes
Ingredients
- 4 scoops good vanilla ice cream
- 1 cup freshly brewed hot espresso or very strong coffee
- 1 tsp sugar, optional
- 2 tbsp whipped cream, optional
- 1 tbsp shaved dark chocolate or cocoa powder
- 1 tbsp coffee liqueur, optional
Method
- Chill two serving glasses for 5 minutes so the ice cream melts slowly.
- Brew the espresso or strong coffee and sweeten it only if desired.
- Place two scoops of vanilla ice cream in each chilled glass.
- Pour the hot coffee over the ice cream just before serving.
- Top with whipped cream if using, finish with shaved chocolate or cocoa, and serve immediately.
